About The Position

At Capgemini, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that drive business value and enhance client experiences. You will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable, high-quality solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with experience in application development, team leadership, and enterprise application management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java/Scala technologies, modern microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and Agile delivery practices. This role involves leading development teams, driving product enhancements, ensuring code quality, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and application management.
  • Proven experience leading and managing backend engineering teams.
  • Strong hands-on experience in: Java, Scala, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
  • Experience with application lifecycle management, code reviews, and release management.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with cloud-based environments and services.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Apache Kafka.
  • Experience with Akka Platform and Play Framework.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience working in large-scale, distributed enterprise environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage application development and enhancement teams comprising 5-10 backend engineers.
  • Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
  • Drive technical solutions using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
  • Lead application enhancements, change management initiatives, and production support activities.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, SMEs, and business stakeholders to define and deliver product features.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to engineering teams.
  • Ensure application scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
