Senior Software Engineer, Back-End
About The Position
Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs. Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role, with a focus on back-end development.
- Strong proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++).
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the cybersecurity domain.
- Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools.
- Experience with distributed systems and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs for the NodeZero platform.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other engineers to design and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and reliable systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in back-end development and cybersecurity.
