About The Position

BizTech Fusion is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong software development fundamentals and experience working with AWS, cloud-native applications, CI/CD, and modern development practices. The ideal candidate will be comfortable developing production-quality software, writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience with AI-assisted development tools and federal IT environments is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong experience with modern programming languages and development frameworks.
  • Experience with Git or other modern version control systems.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and cloud-native development concepts.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and software development automation.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and accept/provide constructive feedback.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to satisfy required background investigation and clearance requirements.
  • AWS Certification is mandatory. A copy of the AWS certification must be provided along with the candidate's submission details.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS certification and/or strong hands-on AWS experience.
  • Experience working in Federal IT environments.
  • Experience with cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tools such as AI coding assistants, code-generation tools, automated testing tools, or AI-powered development platforms.
  • Experience with secure software development practices.
  • Familiarity with Section 508/accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement user stories, features, and software components on a cloud-native AWS stack.
  • Develop clean, maintainable, and production-ready code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design/refinement sessions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
  • Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and development automation.
  • Utilize AI-assisted software development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Apply secure coding practices and support application security requirements.
  • Support accessibility requirements, including applicable Section 508 considerations.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation as needed.
