About The Position

Wrapbook is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to join its Agentic Systems team and build AI agents that automate workflows for internal teams. The role partners with teams including Marketing, Sales, Support, Operations, and Finance to identify valuable processes, gather requirements, and deliver agent-driven solutions. The engineer will help define how Wrapbook builds and operates AI agents, establishing reusable patterns, tools, and standards while measuring the impact of agents and iterating based on usage and feedback. The role involves designing production-grade agents with LangGraph and deploying and scaling them on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. Agents will connect with internal systems, APIs, and third-party tools to perform actions. The engineer will develop evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks, track operating costs, and maintain security and reliability. They will also support adoption through documentation, training, and enablement. The position is described as hybrid in Seattle; the benefits section also says employees may work from anywhere in Canada and the USA.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of back-end development experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java.
  • A track record of delivering systems designed for security, scalability, availability, and performance.
  • Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-powered agents or workflows, including prompting, tool use, and structured outputs; candidates should be able to discuss an agent they built, its design, failures, and fixes.
  • Production experience with at least one agent or LLM framework, such as LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
  • A solid understanding of AI architectures such as RAG, reranking, and multi-agent orchestration.
  • A security-first mindset, including consideration of data access, permissions, and failure modes.
  • Strong product sense and communication skills, including the ability to work with non-technical teams to understand workflows and turn them into reliable automation.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and an ownership mentality, including the ability to take a loosely defined problem from idea to production.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LangGraph specifically.
  • Experience running AWS workloads in production and designing for, deploying on, and using Amazon services, ideally including Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build production-grade AI agents with LangGraph to automate multi-step workflows for internal teams.
  • Deploy, operate, and scale agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore using its runtime, memory, identity, and gateway capabilities; maintain security and reliability and monitor costs.
  • Partner with internal teams to identify high-impact workflows, elicit requirements, and develop agent-driven solutions; communicate agents' capabilities and limitations.
  • Integrate agents with internal systems, APIs, and third-party tools so they can take actions.
  • Build evaluation, observability, and guardrail frameworks to measure agent quality, identify failures, and keep humans involved where appropriate.
  • Establish reusable patterns, shared tools, and best practices for the Agentic Systems team.
  • Own agents from prototype through production, measure their impact, and iterate based on usage data and feedback.
  • Drive adoption through documentation, training, and enablement.
