About The Position

TrellisWare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Applications - Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to create intuitive graphical user interfaces and networking applications for TrellisWare's wireless communication products using modern software technologies. The role involves enhancing team cohesiveness, promoting self-improvement, and contributing to TrellisWare's core values. The engineer will work with a tech stack including JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS, Kotlin/React Native, C# (.NET 10, .NET Framework), Avalonia, WPF, WinForms, C++, Python, Bash, PowerShell, on Windows, Linux, and Android platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of seven years’ industry experience developing user interface applications.
Experience implementing contemporary user interface solutions.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong analytic and problem-solving mindset with ability to debug issues, research solutions, and think from a user’s perspective.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (including but not limited to discussing technical decisions and documenting code).
Proficiency in one of the following technology stacks is required: ReactJS web applications, Kotlin/React Native mobile applications, or C# desktop applications (Avalonia, WPF, WinForms).
Familiarity in a second technology stack (different from your proficiency) is required.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and asynchronous programming.
U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrable experience is desired for a second technology stack.
Experience building developer-facing tools, libraries, and APIs for third-party integrations is desired.
Demonstrable experience building responsive user interfaces using modern standards and a focus on code quality, maintainability, and best practices.
Familiarity with responsible use of AI coding assistants to enhance productivity while maintaining code quality, security, and adherence to project standards.

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing user-facing web, PC, and mobile applications.
Enhancing and maintaining a suite of wireless networking configuration and situational awareness tools.
Developing intuitive visualization techniques for large data sets.
Documenting and presenting design alternatives using good personal practices and corporate defined engineering processes.
Optimizing web requests across multiple servers from a single client.
Engineer flexible, efficient solutions that accommodate multiple market verticals and user workflows.
Develop relationships with team members built on trust and respect.
