About The Position

Gifted Savings is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for a full-time, remote leadership role based in the United States. The role involves developing web applications from design through deployment, ensuring they work seamlessly across desktop and mobile web platforms. You will translate product requirements and designs into high-quality software and maintain consistent, pixel-perfect site-wide design standards.

You will work directly with product, design, and QA in a lean, agile team, report to the CTO, and contribute to strategic decisions and the direction of the technology stack. The organization describes this as an opportunity to join an early team and help advance financial inclusion, philanthropy, and financial education. Occasional travel is expected for team meetings and program-related events.

The expected compensation range is $170,000–$200,000, with the final salary determined by experience, skills, and organizational needs. Candidates must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

• Strong TypeScript and React.js skills and knowledge of API best practices.
• Excellent CSS/SCSS skills and the ability to create accurate, responsive designs.
• At least 8 years of relevant full-time work experience.
• Advanced technical and analytical skills to diagnose, isolate, and resolve problems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to act as a technical lead on product features or initiatives.
• Candidates must currently be based in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast-paced 0-to-1 environment.
• A background in fintech, investment platforms, or financial technology, especially payments, compliance, secure financial workflows, or donor/fundraising tools.
• Experience with NestJS, Next.js, Node.js, Prisma ORM, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience building entire applications from designs through scaled production deployments.
• Familiarity with AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and MCPs, and with orchestrating agents.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications from design through deployment for desktop and mobile web platforms.
• Translate product requirements and designs into high-quality working software for the web-based platform.
• Identify and maintain pixel-perfect, site-wide design standards for a consistent user experience.
