Requirements

3+ years work experience building and maintaining applications in SYNON
7+ years work experience building and maintaining applications in modern RPG.
7+ years work experience in IBMi Change management tools.
7+ years work experience in performing Impact analysis.
Adept at problem solving and decision making skills
Adept at collaboration and teamwork
Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

Nice To Haves

3+ years of PBM experience.
1+ years work experience monitoring, accessing and optimizing IBMi application performance.
1+ years work experience in utilizing AI to build applications.
1+ years work experience in CI/CD pipeline.
1+ years work experience in modernizing IBMi applications to modern technology/ framework in cloud.

Responsibilities

Designs and defines the technical architecture and infrastructure required for IBMi solutions.
Writes code, develops software components, and implements complex functionalities according to project requirements.
Collaborates with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of IBMi solutions.
Leverages advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.
Integrates various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the IBMi solution.
Writes and executes comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of IBMi solutions.
Participates in agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning, and helps drive the progress and success of IBMi projects.
Explores new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve IBMi solutions and drive innovation within the development team.
Creates and maintains technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.
