Senior Software Development Engineer, AWS Compliance & Security Assurance
About The Position
Join new teams in AWS to design and develop technical solutions that enable AWS to expand operations into new data centers worldwide. These solutions will support programs in sustainability and compliance, and build a platform that will extend to first-class AWS services. As a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) in AWS Security Assurance, you will collaborate with engineers designing solutions at massive scale, focusing on high standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and operational excellence. The role operates much like a start-up, offering autonomy to build solutions from Day One, and provides opportunities for career growth within AWS.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
