About The Position
Brillio is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Test (Automation) with strong software engineering fundamentals and expertise in test automation, performance testing, and quality engineering. The role focuses on quality engineering for web applications and microservices and is described as onsite.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience applying sound software engineering fundamentals in frontend or backend development.
- Experience with BDD/TDD and test automation at the unit, component, and system test levels.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Playwright and Cypress, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with API and microservice testing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Experience with New Relic dashboards and NRQL.
- Proficiency in manual, automation, accessibility, and performance testing.
- Extensive experience with white-box testing, web application performance, and CWV metrics, and an understanding of the inner workings of the system under test.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with a growth and learning mindset.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply test automation at the unit, component, and system test levels.
- Perform manual, automation, accessibility, and performance testing.
- Test APIs and microservices.
- Conduct white-box testing and assess web application performance and Core Web Vitals (CWV) metrics.
- Use knowledge of the system under test to support effective quality engineering.
