Requirements

4+ years of experience with software development or programming
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Knowledge of distributed system fundamentals, object-oriented design, data structures, & algorithm design, etc.
Proficient with at least one object-oriented coding language such as Java, C++, C#, Go, etc.
Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive.
Experienced in building highly available and scalable distributed services.
Experienced with microservice design patterns.

Responsibilities

Apply knowledge of software engineering and architecture principles to design, develop, debug, and enhance backend services, APIs, and server-side components that support distributed cloud systems.
Work within existing software architectures to build and improve scalable, reliable backend applications or operating systems.
Occasionally suggest incremental architectural improvements in alignment with provided design specifications.
Perform standard engineering tasks with some variation.
Understand team roles, development processes, and established procedures.
Perform moderately complex problem-solving with guidance, applying company policies, tools, and processes to deliver high-quality solutions.
