Senior Software Developer - Theatre POS
About The Position
This position participates in the design and development of Cinemark’s internally developed point-of-sale system (POS). The POS enables sales in Box Office, Concessions, Full-Service Restaurant, Self-Service Kiosk, and more in our domestic theatres. The core technology stack is Microsoft .NET with client apps, web services, and web-based interfaces for a fully integrated theatre environment. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies with a forward-looking view of open technologies as we expand the POS capabilities and modernize for the future. They will participate in an Agile Scrum development process working with a small team of strong developers who move quickly.
Requirements
- 10+ Years of Software Development Experience
- Competency in Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft .NET
- Experience with web-based development in front-end frameworks, such as React or Angular
- Enterprise Development Experience
Responsibilities
- Development using the Microsoft .NET Framework and .NET and other associated technologies
- Participation in the software development lifecycle in an Agile Scrum environment, including: Estimation of development tasks, Participation in daily scum meetings, planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
- Rapid prototyping and development of new application features.
- Integration to POS devices, such as printers, barcode scanners, payment entry devices, etc.
- Testing and debugging of existing features and new development.
