As a Senior Software Developer, you will work with other developers to create and maintain software, tools, and infrastructure for web applications, services, and IoT devices. Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or similar
  • At least 15 total years of professional experience as a software developer
  • At least 5 years working on web applications
  • At least 5 years working on back-end systems
  • At least 3 years working with a relational database system
  • Knowledge of various system architectures and software patterns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Clear Background Check - Criminal (required)
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Expert at transforming requirements into scalable software designs and crafting user-friendly interfaces
  • Expert with TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL (Postgres preferred)
  • Experience with C#, C++, Redis, YAML, Docker, Terraform, and Linux
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, Puppeteer, NUnit, etc.)
  • Experience with source control and branching strategies (Git preferred)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (HTTP, WebSockets, SSL, WebRTC, RTSP, TCP/UDP)
  • Experience working in remote or hybrid development teams
  • Bonus: Experience leading technical teams, building Linux firmware with Yocto, or leveraging AI tools in software development

Responsibilities

  • Work with other developers to build and maintain code in web applications, services, and IoT devices.
  • Write well-designed, reusable, testable, and efficient code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Participate in peer code reviews
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
  • Participate actively in Health & Safety programs, 5S activities, and continuous improvement initiatives
