About The Position
Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Platform Operations Team within the Content Platform department. This team focuses on enhancing developer workflows and managing the deployment, operation, and scaling of backend services and infrastructure. The Senior Software Engineer will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the infrastructure, deployment systems, and platform capabilities that support WBD's products and services. This role involves working across the entire software development lifecycle to boost reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity through automation, observability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently, fostering genuine connections with teammates, managing time effectively, and communicating with high emotional intelligence and empathy. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry experience with modern development technologies.
- Hands-on familiarity with both client and server technology.
- Solid understanding of common software data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with AWS; infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform), monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail), and CI/CD tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with Python and Bash.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing CMS platforms.
- Familiarity with building and running Node applications.
- Experience working with Datadog.
