As a Senior Software Developer on the Portal team, your mission will be to design, develop, and modernize Reliable Controls’ software applications. You’ll contribute to complex technical solutions, help shape application architecture, and mentor other developers while collaborating closely across teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused software experiences that connect to real-world building automation systems.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ Years Experience developing C# applications
  • 2+ years of experience of Web Development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with enterprise-class .NET web applications
  • Experience with SQL relational databases
  • Experience developing C++
  • Experience with Git, TFS, Visual Studio, or VS Code
  • Experienced in a DevOps role with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with automated unit/functional testing
  • Agile software development experience (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience using Atlassian Confluence & JIRA
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, estimate, review, test, debug, and document code
  • Support and guide our software development life cycle processes
  • Collaborate in Scrum meetings and help drive team activities
  • Address customer support and technical support issues when needed
  • Support and mentor other developers in their work efforts and outcomes
  • Address software architectural considerations
  • Monitor, assess, and address technical debt
  • Guide good coding practices and rules, and identify items for improvement
