About The Position

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer focused on EDI for a full-time, 100% U.S.-based remote position supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The role owns functional EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules to ensure accurate transaction processing and support business operations. The role works with EDI analysts, DevSecOps engineers, cloud teams, business stakeholders, and integration specialists on file-transfer and API workflows. It also investigates transaction errors and data mismatches using SQL and validates payloads, timestamps, statuses, and error flags. The opportunity requires at least eight years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise application operations and at least eight years of EDI/HIPAA experience. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline is requested, though equivalent practical experience is considered. An Edifecs certification is listed under professional certifications; AWS certification is a bonus. Employment is W-2. Interviews are conducted on Microsoft Teams with the camera on, and applicants will be asked to provide a LinkedIn profile link.
