About The Position

Collabetive Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, test, document, and support business-critical software, database processes, APIs, and cloud-hosted systems. This role will play a lead part in database design and critical system integrations, collaborating with the CTO and Lead Developers to understand existing systems, document knowledge, and improve standards for building fast, repeatable data conversion processes. The position is full-time, salaried, and exempt. The work location is Medina, MN, with one day per week required in the office. The company is owned by Adam's Pest Control, Inc., which has over 100 employees and extends its benefits to Collabetive employees.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, software development, data management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of professional software development, database development, or systems integration experience.
  • Deep proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, advanced T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning.
  • Proven experience in mapping, cleansing, and reconciling messy data from third-party legacy systems.
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset and the willingness to read and respect existing legacy codebases while actively finding ways to modernize and automate them.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Mobile/backend integration experience
  • QuickBooks or accounting system data familiarity
  • Security, logging, monitoring, and deployment automation experience
  • AI-assisted coding experience (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own the client data migration lifecycle, building automated scripts, ETL logic, tooling, and validation reports to transform manual conversion processes into repeatable science (50%).
  • Design, build, and support secure, high-performing APIs and web services linking the core platform to mobile applications and third-party systems (25%).
  • Manage and optimize Azure-hosted applications and SQL databases to reduce downtime and improve reliability (15%).
  • Work with the departing Lead Developer to capture undocumented system logic, establish database naming standards, and create robust documentation (10%).
