About The Position

You will join the DSB squad, the seating team responsible for building and scaling products around extra space and seat merchandising, specifically Seat Blocker and Dynamic Seat Blocker. You will own and evolve the core capabilities of seat mapping, fulfillment, refunds, and pricing needed to run these products reliably for our global partners. To support this, you will help re-engineer how software is built at Plusgrade so that AI becomes part of the operating model, from code production to the intelligent monitoring systems that the engineering org depends on. You will be responsible for end-to-end technical quality, turning complex requirements into scalable solutions that improve the travel experience for millions of passengers.

Requirements

Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
Comfortable architecting and deploying highly available distributed systems on AWS.
Experience managing complex logic for pricing or real-time mapping where data accuracy and performance are non-negotiable.
Structurally changed how your organization operates around AI by setting standards and building shared systems that enable your peers to deliver high quality code materially faster.
A technical anchor for your team, capable of leading architectural discussions and making decisions that balance speed of delivery with long-term system health.
A rigorous approach to the full development lifecycle, from automated testing to CI/CD pipelines, with a constant focus on production reliability.
