About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise software applications in a Microsoft Windows environment. The team primarily develops in C# and .NET. Candidates with strong experience in Java or another object-oriented programming language are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate should be able to become productive in C# within the first several months. Requirements

6 or more years of professional software development experience.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, Kotlin, or C++.
Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.
Experience developing and supporting business or enterprise applications.
Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
Experience working with relational databases, web services, or application integrations.
Ability to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with C# and .NET.
Experience with PowerShell or another scripting language.
Experience developing web APIs, Windows services, desktop applications, or web applications.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and IIS environments.
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
Experience working with AWS and Azure
Experience using GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, and Confluence
Familiarity with secure software development practices.
Familiarity with Agile development methods.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and AI-enabled application capabilities, including the secure use and validation of generated code and content.
