About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our Web Engineering team supporting a strategic digital modernization initiative focused on enhancing customer-facing digital experiences. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications using modern front-end technologies, headless CMS solutions, and cloud-native development practices. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Svelte/SvelteKit, Sanity CMS, modern JavaScript frameworks, API integrations, and Agile software delivery. You will work closely with architects, product owners, UX teams, and platform engineers to deliver high-performance customer-facing experiences at enterprise scale.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of modern JavaScript application development.
  • Strong experience with: Svelte, SvelteKit, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS, REST APIs and GraphQL, Git and modern source control practices
  • Hands-on experience with: Sanity CMS, Headless CMS architectures, Component-based UI development, Responsive web design, Client-side performance optimization
  • Experience building applications deployed in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of web accessibility, WCAG, and SEO best practices.
  • Test-driven and quality-focused development approach.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or Vitest.
  • Experience operating in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale consumer digital platforms.
  • Telecommunications or eCommerce industry experience.
  • Experience migrating from traditional CMS platforms to headless architectures.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager, AEM, migration strategies.
  • Experience with Design Systems and reusable component libraries.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Cloud-native application architecture experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop responsive, scalable, and high-performing web applications using Svelte and SvelteKit.
  • Build and maintain content-driven experiences utilizing Sanity CMS and headless architecture principles.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, and Architecture teams to implement customer-facing features and enhancements.
  • Develop reusable UI components, design system integrations, and front-end frameworks.
  • Integrate with internal and external APIs, microservices, authentication platforms, and customer data services.
  • Drive code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, accessibility, SEO, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering standards and technical decision-making.
  • Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with platform and DevOps teams to ensure reliable delivery through automated deployment pipelines.
