About The Position

Global Quality Assurance (GQA) at Warner Bros. Discovery is responsible for delivering scalable, end-to-end quality engineering across our streaming and digital products. GQA partners closely with engineering and product teams to provide innovative tools, frameworks, and best practices that drive efficient, high-quality delivery. Our charter spans functional testing, test automation, program management, and the development of tools, frameworks, and device lab infrastructure. We serve as a center of excellence for quality engineering, helping teams accelerate delivery while maintaining a high bar for reliability and user experience. As a Senior Software Developer in Test within GQA, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, scalability, and performance of software products through strategic test planning, automation, and quality engineering practices. This role requires strong technical expertise in QA and automation.

Requirements

  • Experience testing OTT or streaming platforms.
  • Experience with connected TV ecosystems such as Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Samsung Tizen, or LG webOS.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in Test
  • Lead end-to-end validation efforts for streaming applications across connected TV, and hosted web app platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Support device testing and in-region validation activities for new features and releases.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and partner with engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
  • Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and release quality metrics.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and quality gates to enable continuous testing and delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with API, UI, and end-to-end automation testing.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
