About The Position

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations across various services like Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps. The Security Token Service (STS) team within AWS is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to build, deliver, and maintain complex, fault-tolerant systems at massive scale. This role involves designing and implementing innovative services and applications in the AWS Cloud, tackling challenging technical problems, and contributing to industry-wide identity federation using open protocols like SAML and OIDC. The ideal candidate is creative, responsible, curious, and passionate about cloud computing, with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions in hyper-growth environments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
