About The Position

Plusgrade builds the sleek and modern web applications that allow passengers worldwide to purchase upgrades, and we need someone ready to lead the frontend architecture of our next travel products.

You will design and architect high-performing, modern web applications using React to help passengers secure upgrades and enable partners to optimize their travel offerings. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and test engineers to elevate engineering quality during architecture discussions. Our delivery model actively integrates advanced automation, so you will help restructure how our front-end code is produced, reviewed, and delivered around intelligent systems to speed up deployment cycles. Beyond mentoring the team to increase velocity and decouple systems, you will partner with support teams to triage and resolve complex user issues.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in TypeScript or JavaScript and React
• Strong mastery of state management and cloud-native application architectures
• Structurally changed how your team works around AI, building shared systems others depend on and raising the technical bar for the developers around you
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Proven ability to design decoupled systems that increase team velocity and lower deployment cycle times
• Sharp eye for engineering excellence, championing automated testing techniques, pair programming, and rigorous pull request reviews
• Commit to realistic timelines and proactively negotiate scope, time, or quality when faced with complex technical challenges while remaining accountable for team success
