About The Position

Kinaxis is seeking a Senior Developer with strong software engineering fundamentals and experience in building enterprise software, APIs, automation, and cloud-native solutions. This role is part of the Developer Experience and Administration team, focused on building the future of developer experience for the Maestro platform. The team creates tools, services, and platform capabilities that enable Kinaxis teams, customers, and partners to maximize the Maestro platform's potential. Responsibilities include working across enterprise software development, cloud infrastructure, automation, and developer tooling. The role involves building intuitive user experiences, developing APIs and platform services, automating operational workflows, and creating self-service capabilities to improve productivity at scale. The team owns the administration experiences for Maestro and the developer experiences for its next generation of extensibility and ecosystem growth. The work will simplify platform administration, improve developer productivity, and enable confident extension of Maestro.

Requirements

Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of progressive software development experience.
Significant experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise software applications and APIs.
Experience building and operating solutions in public cloud environments, primarily Azure and GCP.
Disciplined approach to software quality, including automated testing, continuous integration, and code review practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, influence decisions, and collaborate effectively across teams.
A passion for solving complex technical problems.

Nice To Haves

Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively while applying sound engineering judgment and adhering to architecture, security, and code quality standards.
Experience with modern automation and DevOps technologies, such as GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Maven.
Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, GKE, or AKS.
Experience building developer-facing tools, self-service platforms, administration capabilities, or developer productivity solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and support enterprise software, APIs, automation workflows, and developer-facing platform capabilities.
Develop solutions with a strong focus on security, performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
Collaborate closely with team members, product partners, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders across the company.
Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, engineering standards, and development best practices.
Mentor team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
