About The Position

Under the supervision of the Software Group Manager and within the Research and Development team, you will play a key role in the design, development, and evolution of the next generation of EXFO's network and Ethernet/IP testing platform. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly collaborative product team, driven by a DevOps culture, to contribute to the creation of a strategic product using modern technologies, cloud-native practices, and Agile development methods. As a senior software developer, you will not only contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions but also participate in architectural decisions, support team members in their development, promote technical excellence, and contribute to the strategic evolution of the product. You will collaborate closely with product management, quality assurance, DevOps, user experience (UX), and other development teams to transform customer needs into robust, scalable, and sustainable solutions. This position is offered in a hybrid work model.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in object-oriented design principles and software architecture.
• Extensive experience developing applications using C# and .NET Core.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, clean code principles, and modern development practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality-driven development approaches.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and code review practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8–15 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience delivering complex software products in a collaborative environment.
• Bilingual (French and English, spoken and written).
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Actively contribute to design discussions and challenge assumptions constructively.
• Help identify technical risks early and propose practical mitigation strategies.
