About The Position

The Senior Software Deployment and Patching Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing the deployment of enterprise software and patches using industry tools such as but not limited to, Tanium, Configuration manager, Flexera and Intune. This role ensures efficient software installation, updates, and removals across the organization's IT environment, leveraging tools to enhance operational resilience and reduce complexity. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Requirements

Proven experience with Tanium Deploy, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and software deployment processes.
Proficiency with Tanium and Intune deployment tools, Appv and advanced PowerShell scripting
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Installer (MSI) and other application deployment techniques.
Experience with PSADT (PowerShell Application Deployment Toolkit) with working knowledge of Configuration Manager.
Advanced to senior understanding of real-on the job experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure Roles.
Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows 11).
With proven experience in application packaging and deployment to varies Operating Systems.
Advanced knowledge of Windows registry, Group policy and OS security settings.
Knowledge of endpoint, software security and compliance standards.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud-based deployment solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

Nice To Haves

Knowledge with of Flexera Admin Studio for software packaging
2 + years’ experience in scripting, automation and coding languages used on Microsoft Azure and Windows OS technologies.

Responsibilities

Utilize Tanium Deploy, Flexera Admin Studio, Intune tools, and PowerShell scripts to install, update, and remove software packages across various endpoints. Endpoints vary from physical to virtual and mobile.
Manage and deploy patches and updates using Tanium and Intune to ensure systems are secure and up-to-date.
Configure deployment environments and maintain operational hygiene and system baselines.
Develop, maintain and PowerShell scripts to automate and streamline application and patching processes. Perform quality assurance testing to ensure application compatibility and functionality.
Monitor deployment processes and system performance, addressing any issues that arise. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application installation and packaging.
Work closely with IT teams to schedule and coordinate deployments and updates. Work with other engineering teams to ensure the application catalog is aligned with the company’s core offerings and supports our competitive edge.
Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes and procedures using Tanium and Intune.
Provide support for end-user self-service software installations and updates through Tanium's self-service portal.
