Senior Software Architect
About The Position
Radiance Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Architect to define the technical strategy for executing large software programs. This role involves creating technical blueprints, designing interfaces, and identifying capability needs. The architect will communicate software strategy to senior management and customers, ensuring alignment with internal roadmaps and client requirements. Key responsibilities include mentoring engineering and development teams, conducting design and code reviews, and collaborating closely with hardware development teams on test procedures, software deployment, and embedded performance evaluation. The role also involves evaluating and selecting appropriate tools, programming languages, and frameworks, as well as managing technical and programmatic risks through prototyping, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating risks. A critical aspect of this position is ensuring that software meets established standards and requirements for quality, reliability, performance, security, and usability.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering
- 10+ years experience with software development on DoW/IC programs
- 5+ years experience with OPIR missions on DoW/IC programs
- TS/SCI eligibility
- Experience with Python and C/C++
- Experience with embedded software development
Nice To Haves
- MA/MS in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering
- Experience with Rust
- Experience with FPGA architectures
- Experience with AI/ML/agent workflows
- Experience with detection & tracking algorithms
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for execution of large software programs (technical blueprints, design, interfaces, capability needs)
- Communicate to senior management & customers to align software strategy with internal roadmaps and customer needs
- Mentor engineering & development teams, perform design & code reviews
