About The Position

This position requires experience implementing Fabric’s Medallion architecture, row-level security, pipelines, and dataflows, as well as semantic models. The role involves architecting and implementing Azure Active Directory (AAD) security and delivering access control for analytics/Power BI environments using row-level security. Experience with Oracle 19c PL/SQL and SQL Server 19.1 or higher is necessary. The role will work with a Senior Data Analyst to convert the existing Argos reporting platform to Power BI, architect and secure Azure data lakes for Power BI reporting, and use Github for deployment and version control. Other responsibilities include leading analysis and problem-solving efforts, creating and modifying database objects, analyzing queries and performing tuning, providing technical guidance to other staff, assisting in setting direction for the campus data warehouse, developing procedures for loading data, creating packages, stored procedures, tables, and views to extract, transfer, and load data, and designing/developing new programs and subsystems within UT and OIT standards.

Requirements

Associate’s degree with 10 years of Application Development experience
Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, Power BI Platform, Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint
Significant knowledge of relational databases
Ability to create packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, etc.
Ability to analyze business requirements and systems to design effective automated solutions
Ability to work independently, within a team and/or as an effective team lead to achieve results and meet deadlines
Ability to apply effective oral and written skills to communicate with user and technical audiences
Strong development skills and ability to reverse engineer source code

Responsibilities

Convert existing Argos reporting platform to Power BI
Architect and secure Azure data lakes for Power BI reporting
