About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent / Project Manager to lead high-end residential construction projects throughout the Greater Boston area. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing projects from preconstruction through final completion, with responsibility for field operations, scheduling, budgets, subcontractor coordination, quality, safety, and client communication. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with luxury custom homes, multifamily construction, major renovations, and historic restoration. Experience with architect-driven projects and complex urban construction is highly valued.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • 10+ years managing residential construction projects in the Greater Boston area.
  • Proven experience with luxury custom homes, multifamily construction, major renovations, or historic restoration.
  • Strong knowledge of Boston-area permitting, inspections, urban construction logistics, and local subcontractor networks.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong field presence with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high construction standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with historic renovations, brownstone restoration, or architect-driven residential projects is highly preferred.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end residential construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
  • Oversee daily field operations while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, and homeowners.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, site logistics, and construction sequencing.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope documents for accurate execution.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, permitting, inspections, daily reports, and project documentation.
  • Lead jobsite meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, quality inspections, and progress reviews.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, existing-condition challenges, material delays, and scheduling concerns.
  • Maintain exceptional craftsmanship and quality standards from structural work through final finishes.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and jobsite cleanliness standards.
  • Provide regular project updates to ownership, homeowners, architects, and company leadership.
  • Oversee punch-list completion, owner walkthroughs, project turnover, and closeout.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
