About The Position
We are hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) focused on Cloud Foundations. This remote position prefers candidates in PST hours and requires independent visa status. The role involves building and operating AWS GovCloud and multi-account cloud foundations, implementing robust governance, and developing automation to support engineering teams and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Software
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS multi-account environments
- Expertise in AWS Organizations, IAM, Terraform, and cloud governance
- Experience with infrastructure automation using Python, Go, Ruby, or similar
- Experience with cloud reliability, security, cost management, and developer experience
Nice To Haves
- AWS GovCloud experience
- FedRAMP High or DoD IL5 experience
- FIPS or other regulated cloud environments
- AWS Control Tower / Account Factory for Terraform (AFT)
- FinOps and cloud cost reporting
- Compliance and security automation
- Reusable Terraform modules and internal cloud platform patterns
Responsibilities
- Build and operate AWS GovCloud and multi-account cloud foundations
- Work with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and account provisioning automation
- Implement Service Control Policies (SCPs), landing zones, and cloud governance guardrails.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and secure "paved-road" cloud patterns.
- Standardize VPC, IAM, prefix lists, and account-level controls.
- Build automation using Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.
- Support cloud compliance automation, FinOps reporting, and cost management.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement secure and compliant cloud architectures.
- Participate in production support, incident response, operational triage, and cost anomaly response.
- Create documentation, runbooks, design notes, and audit-friendly operational records.
- Mentor engineers on secure cloud adoption and best practices.
