Senior Site Reliability Engineer I
About The Position
LexisNexis Risk Data Management, LLC is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer I to ensure the success of a database migration from the Boca data center to Microsoft Azure. This role involves delivering resilient database designs and stacks using "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices. The engineer will diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues, write and maintain system and database documentation, and assist in developing comprehensive information security procedures and practices. A key responsibility is deploying a detailed security audit across the database tier, ensuring 24/7 technical support and meeting Service Level Agreements for customers. The role requires a good understanding of defensive, corrective, and detective controls and requirements, as well as monitoring and providing ongoing support for critical, high revenue business applications. Other duties as needed will also be performed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- 4 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- 4 years of experience in implementing and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, etc.
- 4 years of experience in designing and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- 4 years of experience in implementing monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- 4 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications.
- 4 years of experience in configuring secure network architectures, firewalls, VPNs, and identity/access management in cloud environments.
- 4 years of experience in designing and implementing DR strategies and HA architectures for critical systems.
- 4 years of experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate deployment and configuration tasks.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the success of the database migration from the Boca data center to Microsoft Azure.
- Deliver resilient database designs and stacks via "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues.
- Write and maintain systems and database documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in the development of comprehensive information security procedures and practices and deploy a detailed security audit across our database tier.
- Ensure 24/7 technical support and Service Level Agreement for customers is met.
- Practice good understanding of defensive, corrective and detective controls and requirements.
- Monitor and provide on-going support of critical, high revenue business applications.
- Perform other duties as needed.
