About The Position

The Senior Site Manager will manage the daily operations of self-performing and subcontracted installation staff during the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of project-related systems. This role serves as the main point of contact for construction activities and supports the Project Manager in managing installation budgets, site processes, and compliance. The position involves developing installation project plans, monitoring quality, time, and costs, identifying and mitigating risks, managing stakeholder interactions, advising on subcontractor and supplier contracts, and developing new methods and practices. The Senior Site Manager will also coach lower-level site managers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any), Business, or a related field of study
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or any related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
  • Demonstrated experience with site/project management and task delegation
  • Demonstrated experience with installation process according to C05 process
  • Demonstrated experience with understanding of OSHA construction requirements, and the ability to set up a safety program on a project site
  • Demonstrated experience with planning, assessing, and modifying resource requirements, including work resource schedules and material delivery
  • Demonstrated experience with reading, analyzing and understanding contracts and project specifications
  • Demonstrated experience with reading and understanding mechanical, electrical, and steel installation drawings/schematics
  • Proficiency in digital applications - MS Office products, Auto CAD, NAVIS Works, Bluebeam Extreme, Procore, and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of self-performing and subcontracted installation staff while they are engaged in the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of all project related systems.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all construction related activities and assist the Project Manager, who has ultimate responsibility for project performance, with installation budget, site process adherence, site management, and compliance for installation and site requirements.
  • Draw up the project “installation” project plan containing objectives, organization, planning and costs calculations in consultation with Project manager.
  • Enter new or running projects in all stages to assist with completion.
  • Monitor and manage quality, time, costs and provision of information.
  • Identify and analyze (potential) problems / risks and opportunities, and initiate adequate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage the interaction of site work with all stakeholders.
  • Advise and manage the contracts of all subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement new methods/techniques, tools and practices.
  • Coach lower-level site managers and supervisors.
