Lab37 Robotics is seeking an industrial engineer with expertise in discrete-event simulation to optimize robotic food-production systems. The role involves modeling end-to-end production flow, including equipment, labor, material movement, queues, capacity, and operating policies, to identify bottlenecks, evaluate system designs, and inform capital and operational decisions. The models will span from the Bowl Builder to the full kitchen, aiding in understanding tradeoffs and making informed decisions about future development. This senior/staff-level individual contributor role will lead the industrial engineering simulation efforts at Lab37, encompassing tool selection, modeling standards, time studies, empirical input characterization, model validation, and integration into planning. Collaboration with hardware, robotics, and operations teams in Pittsburgh is key to transforming complex physical systems into reliable decision-making tools.
