About The Position

OneDigital’s SharePoint ecosystem is mission critical, supporting enterprise-wide collaboration, governance, compliance, operational workflows, and content lifecycle management. The Senior SharePoint Engineer / Administrator serves as the technical, architectural, and operational subject matter expert (SME) for SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform. This role owns the design, governance, migration strategy, and operational excellence of the enterprise document platform, supporting hundreds of sites, multiple business units, and legacy acquisitions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong governance discipline and the ability to influence platform strategy.

Requirements

  • Experience configuring and optimizing site templates, workflows, and automation using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and business systems.
  • Proficiency in developing automation and tooling using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience maintaining platform documentation, architecture diagrams, governance artifacts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience tracking platform adoption, usage trends, and compliance metrics.
  • Experience developing and delivering advanced user training, onboarding materials, and best-practice guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as OneDigital’s senior SME for SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams integration, and OneDrive for Business.
  • Design, maintain, and evolve enterprise SharePoint architecture, including hub site models, site topology, and information architecture.
  • Administer site collections, libraries, content types, managed metadata, navigation, and permissions.
  • Monitor tenant-wide health, performance, and storage utilization, including alerting and capacity planning.
  • Lead resolution of complex SharePoint and Microsoft 365 issues escalated from Tier 1/2 teams.
  • Lead enterprise-scale document and site migrations from legacy platforms and file shares.
  • Design and execute migration strategies including discovery, remediation, validation, and modernization.
  • Configure and manage migration and governance tools such as ShareGate, AvePoint, and Microsoft Migration Manager.
  • Execute and continuously enhance OneDigital’s SharePoint governance framework.
  • Implement governance for site provisioning, lifecycle management, archival, and decommissioning.
  • Define and enforce naming conventions, metadata standards, and content models.
  • Implement and manage retention, records management, sensitivity labeling, and DLP policies.
  • Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Governance Council stakeholders to ensure policy adherence.
  • Configure and optimize site templates, workflows, and automation using Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and business systems.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new Microsoft 365 features and third-party solutions.
  • Develop automation and tooling using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, platform reviews, and feature rollouts.
  • Maintain platform documentation, architecture diagrams, governance artifacts, and standard operating procedures.
  • Track platform adoption, usage trends, and compliance metrics.
  • Partner with Digital Workplace, M&A, Security, and Compliance teams to support integrations and remediation efforts.
  • Develop and deliver advanced user training, onboarding materials, and best-practice guidance.
  • Provide guidance on SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams usage patterns.
  • Collaborate with Communications and leadership to publish platform updates and governance guidance.
  • Mentor junior administrators and engineers and support technical skill development.
