About The Position

This role is within the Financial Services Industry Services Sales team, focusing on acting as a trusted advisor to Financial Services customers and prospects. The team connects Workday’s services, partners, and platform capabilities to deployment and value-realization outcomes. They collaborate with Account Executives, Sales Directors, Pre-sales, Value Engineering, Partners, and Customer Success to shape services strategy, differentiate Workday’s deployment approach, and ensure successful customer implementations. The team is responsible for maintaining high customer satisfaction, driving subscription growth, services adoption, and long-term platform consumption within the Financial Services sector. As a Senior Services Executive, you will be the services and deployment lead for key Financial Services accounts. Your responsibilities include owning the services strategy for your territory, assisting customers in designing implementation roadmaps, estimating effort and cost, and aligning resources to achieve business and financial objectives. This is a quota-bearing position focused on services revenue, with the primary goal of supporting and accelerating Workday subscription sales by shaping, selling, and closing associated services engagements. You will leverage your expertise in the Financial Services Industry, Financials, ERP, or Planning solutions to position Workday’s services, methodologies, and partner ecosystem. You will manage complex, enterprise-level sales cycles, lead services discovery and scoping, and develop compelling proposals and statements of work that align sales strategy with delivery. Collaboration with direct and partner-led motions is key, working with account teams and partners to understand customer needs, design tailored deployment approaches, shape and negotiate services deals, and monitor customer engagements, coordinating interventions from Global Services, Partners, and Customer Experience teams. This role is suited for individuals who excel in customer-facing interactions, can anticipate future needs in deals or deployments, and enjoy bridging the gap between sales and delivery in complex Financial Services environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in services sales, consulting, or implementation delivery within the Financial Services Industry.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with enterprise ERP, Financials, Planning, or similar SaaS solutions.
  • Prior experience with Financials solutions, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, or financial operations.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting complex services engagements or enterprise sales cycles.
  • Prior experience creating or supporting services proposals, statements of work, implementation estimates, or deployment roadmaps.
  • Experience connecting sales strategy to implementation or deployment delivery.
  • Experience working across ERP, Financials, or Planning ecosystems, including software vendors, partners, or implementation teams.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales, Pre-sales, Partners, Customer Success, or Services teams.
  • Client-facing communication and presentation experience in complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate deal, delivery, risk, and resource needs in customer-facing environments.
  • High initiative and ownership, with experience identifying and acting on gaps or opportunities without detailed direction.
