Senior Service Representative / Courier II
About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a Senior Service Representative / Courier II to join their team. This role involves serving as a floater for the logistics team, providing coverage for various courier routes in San Diego and Imperial counties. The position includes delivering on-route training, coaching, and support for new couriers/drivers, assisting with dispatch tasks and pickups, loading necessary supplies, and completing daily pickup schedules efficiently. Responsibilities also include delivering collected items to the assigned branch, handling specimens and lab samples safely and compliantly, operating company vehicles safely, using handheld electronic devices for tracking, communicating with dispatch regarding urgent pickups, and adjusting to changing conditions like traffic and weather. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Be at least 21 years old
- Punctual with strong time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to problem solve customer issues
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years or more experience as a driver or medical courier
- 1 year or more experiences Customer service
Responsibilities
- Serve as a floater for the logistics team by providing coverage for various courier routes in the San Diego county and the Imperial county
- Deliver on‑route training, coaching, and support for new couriers/drivers
- Assist with dispatch tasks and pickups when required
- Load all necessary supplies needed for daily pickup routes
- Complete the daily pickup schedule efficiently and on time
- Deliver all collected items to your assigned branch at the end of each shift
- Handle specimens and lab samples safely and in compliance with all protocols and regulations
- Operate company vehicles safely and follow all traffic laws and company policies
- Use handheld electronic devices to manage, document, and track daily pickups
- Communicate closely with the dispatcher regarding additional or urgent pickups
- Adjust to traffic patterns, weather conditions, and alternative routes as needed
