About The Position

The Senior SEO Specialist is responsible for driving SEO initiatives and campaigns by reviewing reports and determining optimal strategies for maximum optimization opportunities. This role involves researching, identifying, and implementing changes on key landing pages for organic ranking success, and determining direction for targeting, assigning URLs, and metadata before content creation. The specialist will also determine how and where Mouser will conduct targeted keyword research for discovery, expansion, and optimization. Key responsibilities include initiating the building and maintenance of reports and dashboards for SEO best practices, documenting SEO industry trends, developments, algorithms, and ranking factors, and developing Mouser and ecommerce business acumen. The Senior SEO Specialist will also perform administrative duties within the SEO department, including scheduling meetings, organizing presentations, researching and evaluating new opportunities, and coordinating global communications. They will set meetings at regular intervals with external teams to align objectives and gather insights. As a team subject matter expert, this role involves demonstrating extensive Mouser business acumen, developing and implementing the strategy for collaboration between SEO & SEM activities globally, and leading peers in learning and building Mouser business acumen, Internet Business processes, and SEO Specialist skills. The specialist will drive continuous improvements to strengthen skills and SEO best practices, and identify, determine, and implement the building and maintenance of reports using search platform data as well as data from additional sources.

Requirements

  • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Similarweb, BrightEdge, Conductor, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Understanding of SEO guidelines, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
  • Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
  • Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation, organizational, and teaching skills.
  • Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.
  • Uses sound judgment to identify issues and escalates when appropriate.
  • Contributes to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by multiple departments.
  • Strong experience with all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to set and track goals.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or work experience.
  • 6+ years SEO experience required.
  • For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
  • Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role.

  • Lead peers in learning and building Mouser business acumen, Internet Business processes, and SEO Specialist skills.
