About The Position

Google is hiring a Senior Security Software Engineer for emerging on-premises AI infrastructure. The role focuses on securing Alphabet, partners, and customers as they deliver critical missions, and on contributing to the future of AI. The engineer will develop operating system and hardware security features, design security solutions, collaborate with internal Security teams and partner and customer teams, and review other engineers’ code. The position is part of Google’s AI and Infrastructure team, which delivers AI and infrastructure capabilities at scale, efficiency, reliability, and velocity for Google employees, Google Cloud customers, and Google users. The team works across software and hardware to support AI models, computing, global services, and developer platforms.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in C++, C, or Python.
2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Work closely with internal Security teams, as well as partner and customer teams.
Develop operating system and hardware security features for the product.
Design security solutions within the scope of the broader area.
Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
