About The Position

This position performs security officer duties and provides supervision to staff to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood, or similar disasters on assigned shifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience
- Experience with youth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency required
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
Nice To Haves
- Supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensure the physical security of buildings, center vehicles, and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment.
- Maintaining logs
- Advise and train security officers in security procedures.
- Assist in transporting students, and reporting and suppressing fires.
- Act as liaison with neighboring law enforcement and fire agencies.
- Assure accountability of students, staff, and visitor check-out and check-in proceedings by scheduling coverage.
