About The Position

Work Schedule: This is a full time 100% FTE position. Scheduled hours are from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm with rotating days and weekends off. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Pay: Overtime Weekend, evening & night shift differential For evening hours - after 3:00 pm you will earn an additional $3.00/hr. Requirements

• No minimum education required.
• 18 months of UW Health Security Officer or comparable experience
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle.
• Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire
• Required IAHSS Advanced Certification within 6 months

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• IAHSS Basic Certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as an Officer in Charge and respond to leaders across UW Health by overseeing day to day operations of the shift in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Properly document daily activities and write detailed and at times lengthy incident reports using computer software programs.
• Serve as a positive example and provide consistent training, coaching, and evaluation of new officers as part of the department’s field training program.
• Monitor and operate access control systems, security camera systems, intercoms, two-way radios, telephones, and alarm systems.
