About The Position
Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Senior Security Officer to operate the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, WV. This role involves performing security officer duties and providing supervision to staff to protect life and property. The officer will act as a liaison with security and law enforcement agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and directives. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in a supervision capacity.
- Experience with youth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency required.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance and recommend personnel changes.
- Review incident reports for completeness, conciseness, proper spelling, and grammar, prior to distribution.
- Assist with developing new and revised policies and procedures for security.
- Supervise the investigation of student and staff accidents, ensuring all paperwork is complete.
- Provide fire protection, conduct frequent fire drills and inspections of the facility.
