About The Position

Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by providing technical support to ensure quality patient care and user satisfaction. Responsible for design and implementation of the security solutions for all of the CHAS information technology systems and applications. Responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of in-place security solutions and the identification, investigation, and resolution of security-related events detected by those systems or other audits as required. Supervises, trains, and develops IT security staff, encouraging teamwork and engagement. Responsible for the creation and/or maintenance of security policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures. Conducts vulnerability audits and assessments. Be aware of the organization’s security goals and regulatory obligations, and work with the CHAS compliance department to ensure those obligations and goals are met. Escalates unresolved issues to vendor support. Participates in knowledge sharing and cross training of IT staff on security technologies on a Tier III level. Proactively recommends solutions and process improvements regarding network security, infrastructure, and performance. Performs other duties as assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • CISSP, GIAC or other industry recognized IT security certifications is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
  • Proven experience and success in creating and leading a robust IT security program based on industry best practices and utilizing enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Experience with health information technologies & HIPAA compliance preferred.
  • Excellent technical skills, problem-solving skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, contribute to a team environment, maintain positive attitude and commitment to quality.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities
