Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- CISSP, GIAC or other industry recognized IT security certifications is preferred.
- Requires minimum of 7 years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility.
- Proven experience and success in creating and leading a robust IT security program based on industry best practices and utilizing enterprise risk frameworks.
- Experience with health information technologies & HIPAA compliance preferred.
- Excellent technical skills, problem-solving skills, verbal, and written communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to a team environment, maintain positive attitude and commitment to quality required.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
- Commitment to supporting a safe and respectful environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for design and implementation of the security solutions for all of the CHAS information technology systems and applications.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of in-place security solutions and the identification, investigation, and resolution of security-related events detected by those systems or other audits as required.
- Supervises, trains, and develops IT security staff, encouraging teamwork and engagement.
- Responsible for the creation and/or maintenance of security policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures.
- Conducts vulnerability audits and assessments.
- Be aware of the organization’s security goals and regulatory obligations, and work with the CHAS compliance department to ensure those obligations and goals are met.
- Escalates unresolved issues to vendor support.
- Participates in knowledge sharing and cross training of IT staff on security technologies on a Tier III level.
- Proactively recommends solutions and process improvements regarding network security, infrastructure, and performance.
