Senior Scrum Master - AI/ML & Software Delivery

COLSA•Remote, Alabama, AL
•$120,000 - $130,000•Remote

About The Position

COLSA is seeking a Scrum Master to support NASA’s Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) contract, specifically supporting NASA’s Aerospace Capabilities Portfolio Office by managing Agile delivery across fast-moving software, data, and machine-learning development efforts. This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in the United States, excluding the following states: AR, CT, DE, HI, IA, KS, MT, NE, NJ, NY, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience with AI/ML and software delivery
  • Ability to facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement)
  • Ability to translate strategy, priorities, and resources into executable plans
  • Ability to remove impediments and coordinate dependencies
  • Ability to produce clear delivery products and overviews (roadmaps, prioritization and trade-off views, delivery and status reporting)
  • Experience tracking metrics (velocity, throughput, burn-down, cycle time, defect rate, delivery-performance metrics)
  • Ability to establish and enforce delivery and quality standards
  • Ability to adapt agile practices to fast-paced development cycles
  • Experience managing backlogs with product owners and project leads
  • Ability to coach and develop agile teams
  • Reside in the United States (excluding AR, CT, DE, HI, IA, KS, MT, NE, NJ, NY, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY)

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile delivery end to end: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement, keeping each ceremony focused and time-boxed.
  • Work with project leads to translate strategy, priorities, and team resources into executable sprint and release plans, and keep day-to-day execution aligned to those priorities.
  • Remove impediments, coordinate cross-team and external dependencies, and protect the team’s focus so it can deliver consistently.
  • Produce clear delivery products and overviews (roadmaps, prioritization and trade-off views, delivery and status reporting) that let leadership make informed trade decisions on prioritization and investment.
  • Use delivery data to drive efficiency: track metrics (velocity, throughput, burn-down, cycle time, defect rate, and delivery-performance metrics), find where the team loses time or quality, and act on it to measurably improve how the team performs.
  • Establish the delivery and quality standards the team works to, document them, and hold the team accountable to them.
  • Adapt agile practice to an AI-accelerated pace: streamline planning and coordination so process keeps up with faster development cycles rather than slowing them down.
  • Manage the backlog with product owners and project leads, ensuring upcoming work is refined, estimated, and aligned to stakeholder needs.
  • Coach and push the team: raise the team’s agile discipline, hold people to commitments and standards, and foster a collaborative, high-performing delivery environment.
