The Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research, located within Hebrew SeniorLife’s (HSL) long-term chronic care hospital is seeking an established independent investigator Senior Scientist to help expand its clinical research in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (ADRD). Recognizing the enormous global need for more applied research into the prevention and treatment of ADRD, as well as HSL’s unique role in caring for people with cognitive problems in an academic-oriented environment, the organization’s recent strategic plan calls for the expansion of research and clinical programs in the area of ADRD. This focus is intended to become one of the pillars of HSL’s mission, distinguishing it as a center of excellence for discovery and innovation in the field of brain health. Building on its many resources for successful ADRD research and translation, including a large population of older adults, Harvard affiliation, expert neurocognitive and geriatric medicine faculty, clinical trials capability, the Wolk Center for Memory Health, and strong institutional commitment, the Marcus Institute aims to recruit a well-respected leader who can expand and enhance its ADRD research portfolio. The successful candidate will be eligible for a faculty appointment at the appropriate rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. This appointment is commensurate with teaching responsibilities.
