This role is a major contributor to the development and optimization of CMOS chip-based DNA synthesis workflows, encompassing both phosphoramidite and enzymatic chemistries. The scientist will develop and optimize electrochemical synthesis protocols, including chip handling, hardware configuration, software integration, and process troubleshooting. A key aspect of the role involves investigating and refining surface functionalization strategies to enhance synthesis efficiency and fidelity. The position requires collaboration with engineering and synthesis teams to build and iterate prototype testbeds, integrating chemistry, fluidics, and hardware systems. The scientist will operate NGS-based analytical pipelines for quality assessment of oligonucleotide pools and analyze experimental data using molecular biology and organic chemistry techniques. A significant responsibility includes driving technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring robust scale-up and process documentation. The role also involves defining and executing scientific and technical objectives aligned with company goals, presenting experimental plans and results, and maintaining detailed records of all experimental work and analysis.
