About The Position

As a Senior Scientist, Medical & Scientific Affairs - OTC, you will support Haleon's portfolio of over-the-counter medicines by advancing the science behind trusted brands through evidence generation, scientific communications, claims development, and regulatory support. Working across multiple therapeutic areas, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex scientific data into meaningful insights that support brand strategy, product registration, and lifecycle management activities. This role is ideal for a scientist or healthcare professional who enjoys applying scientific expertise across a broad range of consumer health categories. This role includes support for regulatory submissions and evidence packages that help bring innovative consumer health products to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or other healthcare-related doctorate.
• 4+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, or related functions within consumer healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries.
• Experience supporting FDA or other regulatory submissions.
• Experience evaluating clinical data and developing scientific evidence packages.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex scientific information across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of medical strategies, including evidence generation, claims substantiation, scientific communications, medical education, and benefit-risk assessments.
• Conduct critical evaluation, interpretation, and synthesis of clinical and scientific data to support medical and business objectives.
• Support the preparation of scientific and medical content for regulatory submissions, product registrations, evidence dossiers, and lifecycle management activities.
• Contribute to the development of study plans, protocols, literature reviews, and evidence summaries.
• Develop evidence-based responses to scientific and medical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with regulatory, marketing, legal, and cross-functional teams to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance across product communications.
• Support the development and review of promotional and non-promotional materials using an evidence-based approach.
• Monitor emerging scientific research, healthcare trends, and competitive activity across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Coordinate scientific advisory boards, consultant engagements, and external expert interactions.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external experts to support scientific strategy and evidence generation.
