About The Position

Artiva Biotherapeutics is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Senior Scientist I/II who will be responsible for translational assay oversight and data analysis in support of ongoing clinical trials. This position will work with senior translational leadership to identify pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarkers associated with NK cell-mediated clinical response. The ideal candidate brings prior translational science experience supporting clinical trials, a strong background in immunology (B-cell immunology preferred), and hands-on expertise in flow cytometry analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to biomarker development and analysis to support ongoing clinical trials in autoimmunity.

Requirements

  • PhD in immunology, life sciences or related discipline, with at least 5+ years of experience (6-7 years for Level II) or MS degree with 10+ years of experience within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Expertise in multi-parameter flow cytometry, including panel design, sample acquisition, data processing/analysis and QC; and immune cell functional assays (e.g. proliferation, cytokine production, cytotoxicity).
  • A strong background in human immunology required, with an emphasis in B-cell immunology/biology desirable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, attention to detail and data quality, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience using flow cytometry analysis software, including FlowJo, OMIQ, GraphPad PRISM and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in translational science supporting clinical trials is preferred.
  • Direct experience working in autoimmunity preferred.
  • Prior experience in translational science with direct involvement in clinical trials (e.g., biomarker sample analysis, clinical data reporting, cross-functional collaboration with Clinical Development/Operations, and Data Management) strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of drug development.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cutting-edge translational research related to autoimmune diseases.
  • Develop and conduct cell-based assays such as immunophenotyping, cytotoxicity, immune cell proliferation, serum cytokine/chemokine analysis.
  • Perform quality control (QC) of flow cytometry data, including panel QC checks, staining and compensation controls, and ongoing monitoring of assay performance metrics.
  • Work within Translational team to support clinical biospecimen characterization, data analysis, and reporting of results in the form of presentation or written reports for ongoing clinical trials.
  • Present findings at scientific conferences and contribute to manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications.
  • Leverage prior translational science experience to support clinical trial activities end-to-end, partnering with Clinical Operations and Clinical Development on biomarker strategy, sample logistics, and interpretation of clinical trial data.
  • Process human clinical samples for biomarker analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with protocols, SOPs and work practices.
  • Comply with standard laboratory procedures and company policies, including notebook documentation and safety protocols.
