About The Position

United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) is a publicly-traded biotech or pharmaceutical company that operates as a public benefit corporation. Its mission is to develop novel pharmaceutical therapies and technologies to provide a brighter future for patients and expand the availability of transplantable organs. The company focuses on rare, deadly diseases, with existing FDA-approved therapies for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD), and neuroblastoma. The near-term pipeline aims to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF). United Therapeutics is also working on creating manufactured organs to address the shortage of organs for transplant. The Enhanced Lung Program specifically focuses on developing novel technologies to enhance donor lung performance and improve transplant outcomes by modifying and optimizing lungs outside the body prior to transplantation, utilizing expertise in organ perfusion, gene therapy, and bioengineering.
