About The Position

Client is seeking an experienced senior SAP S4 HANA FICO Consultant based in the USA, preferably located near Chicago, IL area or Danville, IL and/or Waukesha, WI to travel on site the later two locations throughout the project, whenever needed. You will be supporting the client strategy, to contribute to the project success and work with the SAP project team. There will be two SAP functional senior consultants performing as local focal points with broader SAP experience on Finance and logistics to support the project locally from early June to be there for the SIT start (early of July) until the first monthly closing after the go live, for approximately in February for approximately 9 months. Main Activities: Support SIT and UAT testing, Support Cutover and Hypercare besides the SAP Module implementation itself if needed (Functional Specifications, Adapt code, configurations, unit testing, documentation as required and so on)

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-12+ years in SAP FICO functional consulting in manufacturing sector
  • Strong understanding of FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR
  • Experience with S/4HANA Finance innovations
  • In-depth understanding of insurance industry finance processes
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation abilities
  • Ability to work in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Accounting "Best Practices"
  • SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Accounting with SAP S/4HANA
  • Previous experience in large-scale Automotive, steel or manufacturing sector services SAP

Responsibilities

  • Support SIT and UAT testing
  • Support Cutover and Hypercare
  • SAP Module implementation
  • Prepare functional specifications
  • Work with ABAP teams for enhancements, user exits, and custom reports
  • Lead unit, integration, and UAT testing for FICO various components
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, on global project, and other applicable accounting standards
  • Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams
  • Identify process improvement opportunities in financial operations and insurance accounting
