About The Position
This role involves a Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Knowledge Transfer Consultant to shadow the existing SAP Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) and capture operational knowledge. The consultant will be responsible for documenting end-to-end SAP Finance processes, business rules, system dependencies, risks, and key controls. This includes leading structured interviews, validating processes, and documenting various financial accounting components such as GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Financial Close, FOREX, Tax, and Statutory Reporting. The goal is to produce clear documentation that allows another experienced SAP Finance professional to independently support the environment. Weekly reviews with the hiring manager will be conducted to ensure documentation quality and completeness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP Finance consulting experience.
- Extensive SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation and production support experience.
- Deep expertise in Financial Accounting and financial close processes.
- Strong knowledge of Global Tax, Legal Reporting, and Statutory Reporting.
- Experience supporting FOREX accounting and financial operations.
- Proven experience documenting complex SAP Finance processes and operational procedures.
- Experience working directly with business SMEs to capture and transfer institutional knowledge.
- Excellent technical writing and process documentation skills.

- Experience creating business continuity and operational runbooks.
- Knowledge of process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
Responsibilities
- Shadow the existing SAP Finance SME to capture operational knowledge across daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities.
- Document end to end SAP Finance processes, business rules, system dependencies, risks, and key controls.
- Lead structured interviews to uncover undocumented business knowledge and operational practices.
- Validate SAP Finance processes and distinguish between standard SAP functionality, business processes, and local practices.
- Document Financial Accounting processes including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Financial Close, FOREX, Tax, and Statutory Reporting.
- Create process flows, operational guides, exception handling procedures, FAQs, and business continuity documentation.
- Identify undocumented processes, operational risks, and opportunities for process standardization.
- Produce clear documentation that enables another experienced SAP Finance professional to support the environment independently.
- Participate in weekly reviews with the hiring manager to validate documentation quality and completeness.
